CQT-IBM
Quantum Quickstart
07-09 August, 2024, A007, R&D Block, IIIT Delhi
About The Event
Quantum Computing has the potential to offer unprecedented advantages in solving problems of various domains -- from physics to chemistry to material sciences to weather science to computer science and much more. The Center for Quantum Technologies at IIIT-Delhi, in collaboration with IBM IRL, is organising a workshop on Programming a Quantum Computer from 7th to 9th August 2024. The workshop has been designed to benefit newcomers with no experience with quantum computing; however, a few advanced sessions will be of value even to those with experience. The objective of the workshop is to introduce the participants to the fundamental principles of quantum computing, give them hands-on training on programming a quantum computer, and expose them to the art of solving problems of different domains using a quantum computer. The participants will be able to learn where the quantum computing industry is heading from the industry professionals conducting the sessions.

Important Information
*The hands-on sessions will involve programming in Python; hence, basic knowledge of Python programming is mandatory. Attendees should bring their own laptops for the hands-on sessions on all the three days. Attendees would require an IBMid to actively participate in those sessions. An IBMid can be created for free by signing up on https://quantum.ibm.com/login, and attendees are advised to create one before the start of the workshop.
